Guitars are like people, they don’t like it too cold or too hot. They don’t like it too humid nor too dry. The wood in guitars is constantly absorbing moisture and losing it. All of these changes can influence the action and intonation of your guitar, sometimes in a negative way. I recommend a complete set up once a year to keep your guitar in top form.
My set up includes:

Re-Fretting and Fret Dress
When your frets have dents and worn flat spots, it can cause your guitar to play out of tune. This is a normal problem that occurs over time with the use of your instrument. If the frets are too flat, they may need to be replaced. If they have any height left on them, I can re-crown them, polish them to an amazing luster, and give them new life. New frets are of course installed per your guitar specifications and/or your preference.

If your guitar intermittently cuts out, crackles, buzzes, or just has some mystery electrical problem and you don’t want to tackle it, bring it to Mad Mike’s. I’ll check for continuity among components, loose wires, and look for anything out of the ordinary.
